Discovery Rocks Friday 30 November 2012

Discover Raba and Linda Harrison

A live music evening featuring a fine selection of hand-picked, exceptionally talented musicians at the AAA in Kensington, London.

This is what those awfully nice people at Discovery 2 say about this event:

As it’s a farewell to 2012, we at discovery want to leave this year with a bang. That’s why we’re putting on Discovery Rocks. The first of many nights focused on the biggest, most talked about bands on a friday night!  That’s right a Discovery on a FRIDAY!  After the  bands we will be turning the AAA into a Discovery Club night!  We’re running the show until 2pm!  Rock, Alt Indie & Pop with live acts Raba ,  Portlights , Rekall, Linda Harrison and Dj AKW .”

An original indie/rock band from Surrey featuring catchy melodies, anthemic choruses, intricate guitar riffs, a very tight rhythm section, and the very distinctive and memorable lead vocals of Scott, its charismatic and supremely talented lead singer and main song-writer.  These guys have taken the London live music scene by storm since their debut London gig at the Ballyhoo Bar in May.  Catch them live at the AAA this Friday evening, or in Kingston town centre this Saturday when they will be hosting “The Biggest Busk” outside Bentalls, hoping to pull a huge crowd to help them with the recording of their video for one of their most iconic songs “Home”.  If you are unable to make either of these, then you can hear them on Brooklands Radio Sunday from 7pm when they will be joining me for a live session.

Linda Harrison

Someone once described her music as Too Rock for Pop and too Pop for Rock  It was meant to be a negative criticism, which actually is a fine compliment and one Linda remembers with a certain amount of affection.  This songstress has a voice which will make you listen, her songs will make you think, and her melodies and intricate hooks will linger in your brain cells for weeks on end.  Her ambition is to put on the best live gig ever at some of the World’s top music venues and stadiums.  Looking and listening to Linda, you can’t help but believe she will fulfill her ambition!

Download her stunning new single “Be With You” a charity single release by HARRISON in aid of NSPCC (National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children).  To pre-order/buy this track by SMS, text TRACK NSPCC to 80818 (Texts cost £1, including operator revenue share. UK only.)
